Sophie Jean Amsterdam
Performing Artist

Sophie Amsterdam is a Brooklyn-based dance artist. Since receiving their BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, they have immersed themself in various artistic pathways, including their work as a collaborator with Haus of Pvmnt. Sophie has also performed works by Shamel Pitts, Valeria Gonzalez, Chuck Wilt/UNA, and Andrea Miller. She is especially interested in performance-based art that centers LGBTQ+ creators and experiences through complex interpersonal relationships and electrifying intimacy. Sophie is eager to continue collaborating with artists of varying expressions and mediums.


 

Salomé Pressac
Guest Performing Artist

Salomé Pressac, 23, born in Southeast London, is a professional dancer who trained at Rambert School (BA & MA) and danced With Rambert 2 and Rambert Dance Company. She has worked with choreographers such as Benoit Swan Pouffer, Sharon Eyal, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Wayne McGregor, Wim Vandekeybus, Andrea Miller and Ohad Naharin. Newly turned freelancer, Salomé has also been in many Campaigns and shows  such as BBC’s New year show 2021, Jingle Bell Ball 2021, George Asda 2020, Burberry A/W, Ellesse A/W, Reebok A/W, les girls les boys A/W, NIKON 2020, Stella McCartney 2020, MyMochi 2020, Danse Lente 2020 and danced for artists such as, Davido, IBEYI, Dua Lipa, Fred Again, Freya Roy, Nina Nesbitt, Hope Tala, Nykki, Demi Lovato, Chanje, Obongjayer, Jords and Goldfrapp. As a freelancer she has also been able to participate and contribute to movement direction and choreography for independent films : UnTyMe, CultureMile, Incursion, Cerutti, Woolmark Prize Film 2022 (Directed by FKA Twigs) Isamaya Ffrench industrial make up campaign, and features in articles from Dancing Times (dancer of the month), ID, Guardian, NY Times, Vogue and was nominated for best upcoming dancer at the national dance awards 2020


 

Haley Morgan Miller
Lighting Designer

Haley Morgan Miller is a dance and media artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her media art and choreography has been presented with: Movement Research Open Performance, Art She Says, Whispers of Rhythm: Art Cake & 81 Leonard Gallery, Estia Day Fest, Spoke the Hub, WaxWorks, Spark Theater Festival NYC, Rubulad, JUNTO, Christina Noel & The Creature, Fabled Narcissism, Marinnovators Science and Technology Festival, and Paraffin Magazine. They have presented films at Saint Bimbo’s Film Church, Anyplace Anytime Dance Film Festival, and FRAMES Virtual Festival. Haley joined sarAika movement collective in 2021. She was pleased to perform abroad at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022. As an AR filter creator they have designed for fashion brands, musicians, dance companies, tattoo artists, and events. Currently, Haley is the Theater Operations Assistant for the New York City Ballet. She has worked with Stephen Petronio Company as the Associate, BIGMESS as the Operations Assistant, and Yana Schniztler HUMAN KINETICS as the Administrator and Marketer. Her freelance work includes lighting design for Haus of PVMNT, CreateArt Performance, Whispers of Rhythm, and Taylor Graham & Jerimy Rivera. 

Ryan Bailey
Performing Artist

Ryan Bailey is a dancer, choreographer, and visual artist based in NYC & the DMV. Upon graduating with a BA in dance from UMBC, Ryan was granted outstanding senior in choreography and dance after he was awarded an American College Dance Association Gala Finalist. He then furthered his education by attending training programs with dance companies in Chicago, NYC, LA, Portland, and Tel Aviv. In 2017, Ryan premiered his first evening length self-produced show funded by Earl and Darielle Linehan which premiered in Baltimore, Maryland. His most recent creations “Venom” and “Manic Melt” have premiered at Fabled Narcissism in Brooklyn as well as in Baltimore Dance Project. Ryan has danced professionally for madboots dance company on various projects and performances at Gibney Dance, New York Live Arts, and at the Joyce Theater in NYC. He has also had the opportunity to dance for Project 44 dance company, performing at the Jack Crystal Theater in NYC.


 

Madison Wada
Performing Artist

Madison wada is a performance artist born and raised in Lancaster California. After intense ballet training and living in New York for five years she’s accomplished a multitude of things. Such as a professional contemporary career with sidra bell dance New York, a project with ate9, and currently working with Lydia shamoun, and hivewild. She now remains freelancing as a dancer and a student of many artistic mediums to fulfill her inevitability of a performance artist as a whole entity.


Dylan M. Contreras
Performing Artist, Dramaturg

Dylan Contreras is a Brooklyn-based dancer and interdisciplinary creator. A New Jersey native, Dylan began his dance training at eight years old, before studying ballet at Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. He continued his training at The Boston Conservatory where he received a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance. During those fruitful years, Dylan was featured in works by Doug Varone, Juel D. Lane, and Dam Van Hyunh before graduating in May of 2020. Dylan recently premiered his film My Baby Chest Hairs, after receiving an artistic grant from 305 Fitness. He has been happy to safely reconnect with pavement dance, as well as work with Hivewild, and Jon Batiste. 

I dance for every little Black boy who longs to see someone, who looks like them,doing the thing they love most in the world.


 

India Hobbs
Performing Artist

Born and raised in the city of Chicago, India Hobbs began training at The Chicago MultiCultural Dance Center where she studied under Homer Bryant. In 2013, Hobbs joined The Chicago Academy for the Arts freshman class of 2017. During India's time at The Academy, she performed works set by Brian Brooks, Jonathan E. Alsberry, and Stephanie Martinez. Following her completion of high school, Ms. Hobbs enrolled into The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she continued her training. During her time at The Conservatory, India has performed choreography by Junichi Fukuda, Loni Landon, Catherine Coury, Martha Nichols, and a choreographic offering from Mark Morris. In 2021, Hobbs received her BFA in Contemporary dance and shortly after, moved to New York. While residing on the East coast, Hobbs has had the opportunity to perform in the 2021 Open Call Exhibition at The Shed, alongside installation artist, LeAndra Leseaur. India has also worked with art collective Haus of PVMNT, led by Christopher Kinsey and Maggy Costales, KnoName Artist, directed by Roderick George, and MOTLEE Party, created by Avery Gerhardt. In 2022, Hobbs joined Andrea Miller's Brooklyn-based dance company, GALLIM, where she continues to perform a variety of Miller's repertoire, as well as teaching the Gallim movement vocabulary in classes & workshops all throughout the city. When India is not dancing, she enjoys teaching students all throughout New York, and has been fortunate enough to teach at The Juilliard School, NYU Tisch, SUNY Purchase, STEPS on Broadway, NYCCD, and Kanyok Art Initiative. Hobbs hopes to continue to elevate her artistry in connection and community.
